Rod's Char-broiler: Savor American Delights in Redondo Beach

I used to live off of Artesia and Aviation on Mathews Ave and my girl and I went here weekly. The old school "char-broiler" way of making burgers beats any new trend that has come around in the last 50 years. Fantastic fries, fantastic beef and turkey burgers, fantastic old school atmosphere.

Basic counter order place, the kind i go to for a breakfast burrito or a club sandwich. Not horrible but not overly memorable so it does what you need in the moment.

I had delivery today. The food was very good and it came still warm. I'm sure the establishment is a cool and nice place to eat inside.

This was a delicious burger joint! I was craving a good mom and pop burger joint and this hit the spot! So good!

The food here is delicious! I came here not knowing what to expect and my partner and I were blown away by the quality and taste in the food! The service wasn't too great the cashier isn't the nicest but the food definitely outweighs it.

Best hamburger and chili fries in town! Highly recommend to eat or order to go Worth the wait and price! Spread the word!

[Edit] I was promptly informed by management after writing the initial review that breakfast burritos are not limited to breakfast hours. I've been coming here for years and ordering breakfast burritos at any time of the day and all of a sudden I can't do that? Since when? I love a good breakfast burrito at lunch time. Oh well.

Since my son loves cheeseburgers, I wanted to go to a place we hadn't tried before. The boys ordered the burgers and I got the fish sandwich. Both were delicious and tasted fresh. Da Hubs said these were the best char burgers he's tried. As far as char goes, my son agrees. We've added this to our list of fave burger places. Funny thing is, when you first arrive, the counter is really close to the entrance. There's ample seating to the side and the place is very clean. Parking in the small lot.
